Aldwych station

We had the wonderful opportunity of descending into the dusty remains of the Aldwych tube station last weekend as part of London Transport Museum’s Hidden London. Although the station is lost from public view, TfL still make use of the station for testing new station designs and tiling patterns. It has also been the setting for filming many television series and feature films including Sherlock, Mr Selfridge, V for Vendetta and Atonement.
